Jam experience
The jam concept came very quickly with the Invocation theme. We wanted to make a comedy game that parodied adventure games.
So we took a silly goblin as our protagonist, which helped us justify the absurdity of the game. From there, the game's possibilities multiplied, with all the unpredictable objects we could think of.
I was mainly responsible for the game's level design. I first imagined the first level as the tutorial, making simple platforms that would be impossible to reach without the player's “IKEO” supplies.
The second level shows the possibilities that the complete set could have. I have made the “golden road” more complex with a lever and a drawbridge. To cross the drawbridge without destroying it, our goblin has to use the glue to fix the tables together and enable a combo between objects. There are various alternatives, so it's up to the player to discover the best way to complete the level.
