Game Designer

We created the game with the main intention of it being seen by as many people as possible. So we created an interface and a storyline that goes to the essentials as quickly as possible. Moreover, the game is divided into three chapters and mini-games, all of which are unlocked from the menu at the start.

The visual novel is the main content of the game, with a number of features to enhance the navigation experience and allow the player to better appreciate the story.

Programmeur

As a programmer, I created a visual novel from the start with a dialogue system following a TXT document line by line. 

You can put "commands" on its lines and will, in addition to reading the line, do something in the script.

As well as this, there are a number of other functions, including a dialogue history and a choice system that leads to a number of possible branches.

Finally, there is a save system for each line, so that if the player returns to the menu, they can pick up exactly where they left off.

Mini-game

Mini-game Argument

The argument mini-game consists of picking the right word combo to create a marketing argument for Techni-heberg. To do this, you are given clues and a certain number of tries, represented by lives.

The purpose of this mini-game is to encourage the player to think about the arguments that Techni-Heberg and its team might have, so that they can better understand the advantages of the company and become more invested. 

I programmed the mini-game in its entirety and played an active role in its design. The words can be enlarged, they bounce off the edges of the screen and the clues open a panel to find out more about them.

Mini-game server

The mini game server is a puzzle game that puts the player in the place of a Techni-heberg's technician to solve server problems. The aim is to put the player in a position to think quickly and efficiently, implicitly representing the company's services.

The goal of the game is to connect all the generators and validate them using signals. 

 

The player can control the spaceship in the bottom right-hand corner of the image with WASD and move the character to the relay points. These relay points activate the corresponding colour generators, which can then receive the signals.

 

The puzzle becomes more complex as the signals are not at the same height as the player and are obstructed by the walls! However, the walls are also used by the technician to pass over them to unlock new platforms.
